High-Efficiency Planar Magnetic Driver
The Memory 4.4 features a custom 13mm ultra-linear planar magnetic driver co-developed with MOONDROP. Its dual-suspension ring-type magnetic circuit with a four-magnet array delivers 4× the transduction efficiency of equivalent dynamic drivers and 10× that of conventional 14.5mm planar units. The result is a compact driver capable of deep bass, transparent clarity, and low distortion even during large dynamic swings, all easily driven from lowpower sources.
Two Distinctive Chassis, One Acoustic Intent
Memory 4.4 comes in two chassis variants. The Memory Pd4.4 uses pure copper shells with a palladium-plated finish for superior passive noise isolation and a more substantial in-ear feel. The Memory AL4.4 features AL6063 aviation aluminum CNC-formed shells for an exceptionally lightweight build. Both versions share identical dimensions, driver configuration, and connector architecture, offering a simple choice based on material and wearing preference without any difference in acoustic design.
Retuned for Pure 4.4mm Playback
Distinct from the USB-decoding Memory variant, the Memory 4.4 receives a full acoustic retuning of the front and rear cavities. The positioning and area of the vents have been redesigned to optimize performance when driven directly from high-quality 4.4mm balanced sources. This dedicated architecture ensures a purer signal path and broader source compatibility, focusing entirely on the faithful reproduction of HiFi music in a native balanced connection.
Purpose-Built Cable and Connectivity
The earphone is terminated with a fixed 4.4mm balanced plug and a custom shielded cable selected to match each chassis variant. The Memory Pd4.4 is equipped with a black-mesh-sheathed 6N OCC conductor, while the Memory AL4.4 features a grey-mesh-sheathed 5N OCC conductor. Both cables are designed for stable signal transmission and low microphonics, complementing the compact, low-profile aesthetic of the earpieces.

With an emphasis on long-session wearability, the Memory 4.4 pairs its slim, compact alloy shells with a carefully contoured shape that sits securely in the ear.
